Between the herbs

I love being amongst the herbs — and I’m always amazed at how much each and every one of them can do. They heal, soothe, energise — and in the kitchen, they transform the simplest dishes, adding depth, character, and warmth. And then there’s the scent — earthy, fresh, sometimes sharp — it’s everywhere and it stays with you.

This painting grew from that feeling: layers of green in many shades, full of life. Curious, cheeky little colours and shapes push through, spreading out — as if each herb is claiming its own space, its own voice.
